Clark Rivinoja passed away suddenly on March 13, 2008. His loss left our program in shock and grief, and over the past 5 years we continue to miss him deeply. To honor Clark and the impact he had on others in our program we have established an annual award in his name. Funding for this award has been given generously by his family and friends. The Clark M. Rivinoja Award will be given each year to a junior researcher or student who is new to clinical psychology research. The recipient will be nominated by faculty and staff in our program, and will receive $500 to be used towards the process of preparation for or application to science-based graduate programs in psychology. Nominations will be considered for individuals who, like, Clark, have a passion for helping others and a newfound love for science. Importantly, individuals will be considered who bring generosity of time, creativity, and good humor-- all gifts that Clark had in spades.
