Contributions

Your donation will help support our program to figure out new ways to help people who feel like their emotions are out of control. Your contribution will help us figure out how to use next generation tools that extend beyond medications and talk therapy to empower people when they become emotionally distressed. We are experimenting with virtual reality and cell phones right now, and hope to use other portable technologies to help people learn to control their actions when they get emotionally aroused. A contribution of any size is appreciated, and will help us reach our goals. Please feel free to contact Dr. Rosenthal (919-684-6702) to explore how your specific contribution will help. All contributions are used directly to conduct our research studies.

In the memory of our friend and colleague, Clark Rivinoja, M.Div., we have established an annual award to support a junior researcher in our program who is new to the science of psychology but has a passion for helping reduce emotional suffering. Like Clark, the recipient of this award will be generous with time, creative, and bring a unique sense of humor. Donations to our program (instructions below) can be designated specifically to support the annual Clark M. Rivinoja Award. The receipient will receive $500 to use towards advancing his/her training in the science of psychology.

We have set up a fund with the Duke Foundation for tax-exempt donations to be directed to our research program. You must specify "Brout Fund" in the box labeled "Additional, Other Designations." This box should be automatically filled in, but in the event it has not been, please make sure to specify it correctly as shown below.
